Cake Protector is a tower defense game in which the thing you guard is a cake and the enemies are hungry ants. You place traps and block paths to stop the insects before they reach the dessert, and you need to react quickly when several ants approach at once. As you keep playing, the number of ants increases and they move faster, so you have to rethink your defense instead of repeating the same setup. The rules are very simple, but good timing and placement make a big difference to how long the cake survives. You play entirely with the mouse in a horizontal layout in a desktop browser. Tip: put your first traps where several routes meet, so one defense covers multiple paths, and add blockers once the ants start speeding up.
