Progression comes through upgrades. You improve your heroes to increase their damage per second, assemble a stronger team and unlock spells that help in difficult fights. The stages take you through different fantasy biomes, such as deserts, and boss raids provide the toughest challenges. Progress continues even while you are offline.
The game combines simple tapping with team building and exponential growth, making it easy to play in short sessions. It works with a mouse on desktop and with taps on mobile. Spend most of your gold on hero upgrades rather than tap damage, because automatic damage keeps working at all times, including when you are away from the game.
