Dogfight is an aerial combat game in which you fly a fighter plane against enemy aircraft. The focus is on manoeuvring, so loops, rolls and tight turns are your main tools for getting behind opponents and staying out of their sights.
Each fight is about managing speed and angle. Slowing down can help you turn more sharply, while speeding up lets you escape or close the distance. A secondary weapon gives you an extra option for taking down tough targets, and you need to reload when your ammunition runs low.
On a computer, W accelerates, S slows down, A and D turn, Q and E make sharp turns, J fires, K uses the secondary weapon, Space pulls up, Shift rolls and R reloads. On mobile, a joystick moves the plane, and buttons handle firing, pulling up and rolling. The game is displayed in landscape mode. Use sharp turns to get on an enemy's tail, as attacking from behind is safer than flying head-on.
If it clicks with you, Air Assault: Ship Defense, Air Warfare and Planes Dodge & Go are close in spirit.
