Machine Eater is an arcade strategy game about growing a ship and fighting enemies seen on a radar. You collect resources, then use them to create blocks that extend your craft, and you can place structures with different abilities on those blocks. Before each engagement, you pick which enemy to attack on the radar, so choosing your target is part of the tactics. Defeating enemies gives you extra structures to add to your build, which makes the ship more varied and more powerful over time. Movement uses WASD or the arrow keys, and the mouse is used to aim and click. It is played on a desktop browser in a horizontal layout. Tip: pick weaker enemies first to collect parts for your build, and place defensive structures before attempting a tougher radar target.
If it clicks with you, Arrow Cube 3D, Up, Up, and Oops! and Ragdoll Runner: Run, but Don't Break! are close in spirit.
