Tanks for the Nation is a 2D tank combat game set during the Second World War. You can pick from dozens of historical machines, from light models like the Pz. I and T-26 up to heavy tanks such as the Tiger, Panther and IS-3.
Vehicles belong to four classes: light, medium and heavy tanks, plus tank destroyers. Each one differs in armour, speed, rate of fire and penetration. Battles take place on four maps, and the combat follows realistic rules. Shells can bounce off armour, some areas are weaker than others, with the rear being the most fragile, and destroyed tanks stay on the field and can block your shots. Coins earned in battle let you expand your garage and buy new models.
On a computer, drive with WASD or the arrow keys and fire with the button. On mobile, a joystick and a fire button are shown on screen, and you can pinch to zoom. Try to flank opponents, since hitting the rear armour destroys them much faster.
