Underground Heroes is a strategy-action game centered on a grappling hook. Fighters are trapped beneath the battlefield, and you lower the hook, time your swing and haul them up to join your army. Warriors, archers, mages and other types each bring their own abilities, so the squad you pull determines how well you push against the enemy. Once on the surface they fight automatically and try to break down the opposing towers. Between arenas you can upgrade the hook so it grabs more heroes per throw, and each new arena is noticeably harder than the last. Control is done entirely with the mouse. It plays in a horizontal desktop window and mixes tower defense with a catch-and-collect rhythm. Tip: aim for the rarer or stronger fighters first when you have limited swings, and put early upgrades into the hook before anything else.
