There are three types of magical abilities:
- create new pawn;
- create new obstacle;
- change one piece to another.
To use the ability, drag the card onto an empty cell (if it is a new pawn or a new obstacle) or onto a piece (if it is a change of piece).
Chess Royale is an unusual take on chess where the kings have magic. The aim is the same as in the classic game, defeating the enemy king, but you now have extra tools that can turn a battle around. Winning depends on combining ordinary moves with well-timed spells.
