Cube Snake 2048 blends the snake genre with the 2048 merge rule. You steer a snake made of numbered cubes around a large arena, and you can only absorb cubes with a value lower than or equal to yours. Matching numbers merge into the next power of two, so your snake grows in value as well as in length.
Other snakes share the arena, and power-ups on the map give you short-term advantages.
Controls are minimal. Steer with the mouse, the left and right arrows, or A and D. Boost with a left click or the Space bar. It also works on phones.
The interesting choice is what to chase. Picking up small cubes is safe but slow. Going after bigger ones speeds up merges but brings you closer to larger snakes.
The boost is best kept for escaping or for grabbing a cube just ahead of a rival, not for cruising, since the snake is harder to steer at speed.
