Moon Chess is a strategy board game inspired by the lunar cycle. Despite the name, it is not standard chess: you face an opponent called the Half Moon and score by connecting moon phases, from crescent to full moon, on the board.
Each move is about building sequences of phases while preventing your opponent from completing theirs. Because the phases follow a real astronomical order, the game also teaches the lunar cycle in a playful way.
It is easy to learn but asks you to think a few moves ahead, which makes it a good brain game for kids and adults.
It plays on mobile and desktop.
Learn the order of the phases first. Once it becomes automatic, spotting scoring sequences and blocking your opponent becomes much faster.
