Citadel: Fortress Defense is a medieval strategy game in 3D, seen from the first-person view of the lord. During each day you build up your town, and at the end of it, a raid arrives. Your building options range from defensive walls and gates to farms, sawmills, quarries and barracks, plus a market and a mage tower, and all of it runs on wood, stone, gold and food. You hire knights, archers and mages and can take direct control of any soldier in battle. Goblins, bandits, skeletons, shamans and enemy soldiers try to break through your walls. WASD moves, Shift runs, the mouse looks, the left button attacks and builds, B enters build mode, and number keys pick buildings or soldiers. It is a desktop game in landscape. Tip: secure the gates before building anything decorative, and keep archers on the towers.
