Supernova: The "Charon" Protocol is a vertical shoot 'em up in which you pilot a lone ship through screens packed with enemy fire. The campaign runs through eleven sectors, from low Earth orbit to a rift in the void, and every sector ends with a huge flagship that attacks in several phases and carries turrets you can destroy one at a time. Between sorties you return to the hangar and spend the credits you earned on upgrades. The ship fires by itself, so your attention goes to dodging, and a focus key slows you down so you can slip through tight gaps. It plays in portrait on desktop with the keyboard and on mobile with touch. Tip: learn each boss pattern during the first phase, shoot the turrets that cause the most trouble first, and keep your credits for the upgrades you actually feel.
In the same vein on Plays Games: Brawl Simulator 3D, Red and Blue Snipers and Weapon Upgrade.
