Goal: score more points than your opponent by building words on the board. The game ends when the bag is empty and one player uses up their rack; the highest score wins.
Mouse or touch - everything is drag and tap, no keyboard required:
- Drag a tile from your rack onto the board to place it; drag it again to move it
- Undo lifts the last tile, Undo-all takes the whole turn back
- Play commits your word and scores it
- Pass gives up the turn; Exchange swaps chosen tiles back into the bag
- Shuffle re-orders your rack, Hint suggests a move
Words must connect to what is already on the board, and every word you form is checked against the dictionary of the chosen language. Premium squares multiply a letter or the whole word, and using all your tiles in one turn earns a bonus.
LetterHold is a word-building board game played on a 15 by 15 board. You draw letters, spell words across the board and try to take the premium squares before your opponent does. As you drag a tile, its word value is displayed before you confirm, which turns each turn into a calculated choice: trade a letter for a stronger one, extend a word across a triple square or attach to existing words so both score together. Blanks stand for any letter, and a hint finds a move when you are out of ideas. Whoever has more points wins, and play stops after the bag runs dry and one player has played all their tiles. It supports solo play and two players. Everything is done with the mouse or touch. It is in landscape. Tip: save blanks for high-scoring moves.
